Treating Chronic Sinusitis with FinESS™ (Watch Video Here)

Sinusitis is typically treated with medications such as antibiotics, pain relievers, and over-the-counter decongestants. For Chronic Sinusitis patients – who have sinus inflammation lasting more than 12 weeks - the first line of treatment is nasal steroid sprays and antibiotics. About 20% of Chronic Sinusitis patients do not respond to medications1. In these cases, ENT physicians often recommend traditional sinus surgery.
Unfortunately, sinus surgery involves the removal of bone and sinus tissue and may lead to considerable post-operative pain and bleeding. Traditional sinus surgery is performed under general anesthesia with a typical recovery time of several days.
Faced with pain and recovery time associated with traditional sinus surgery, many Chronic Sinusitis patients forego treatment.
Less Pain, Quicker Recovery
Fortunately, there is a new, less invasive approach called FinESS™ Sinus Treatment. Unlike sinus surgery techniques, FinESS™ does not require the surgical removal of delicate bone or sinus tissue.
- FinESS™ Treatment results in a short procedure time with very little pain or bleeding
- FinESS™ can be performed under local anesthesia and patients may receive only mild sedation
- Recovery time is usually1-2 days with many patients resuming normal activity within hours
Simple, Less Invasive
FinESS™ Sinus Treatment is a simple endoscopic procedure that safely reopens blocked passages by reshaping the sinuses behind the cheekbones and the eyes using a small balloon similar to those used to open blocked heart arteries.
Are You Eligible for FinESS™?
FinESS™ Sinus Treatment is designed to treat the sinuses most commonly affected by Chronic Sinusitis. Ask your ENT physician if you are a good candidate for treatment with FinESS™.
